Michele Cotner: RIP

With heavy sadness, I just learned that Michele Cotner, former 18th Legislative District Democratic Vice-chair and all around progressive champion, died suddenly yesterday.

It was Michele's mentorship that got me off my chair back in 2003, and she'll be missed. Whether working for a woman's right to choose, or electoral reform, Michele always took the front row seat.

As I get more details, I'll update this post.

There will be a memorial for Michele on June 14, 2008 @ 2pm at Macy & Sons Funeral Home, 2nd and Evans, downtown McMinnville, Oregon.
