The Columbian follows up with the story of the racially motivated vandalism against Frank and Karen Wastradowski's car:

Frank Wastradowski doesn’t want to drive around town with “white power” scrawled on his car. It’s offensive and garners some unwanted attention.

But the Vancouver man has no choice after vandals scratched the racially motivated slur on his vehicle a week ago in what he believes is retaliation for the Barack Obama political sign in his front yard. He doesn’t want to take the campaign sign down.

“That’s my freedom of speech, and I’m going to take that freedom seriously,” he said.

Others are taking it seriously, as well.

The graffiti has generated an outcry among several community leaders, who set up a fund this week to defray Wastradowski’s cleanup expenses. Several officials, including Tim Probst, a candidate for representative for the 17th District, have pledged monetary support.

And HA just nails what the issue is about here in one sentence:
Normal people consider it their Constitutional right to pick and choose whom to support, and they really shouldn’t have to worry about costly repairs to their property for simply putting a placard in their yard.
That's absolutely right. Fortunately, the community is responding, and you can too with a small contribution made to the Victims of Racial Vandalism Fund:

Think of it as a small contribution that helps out a community member in a time of need, while reinforcing everyone's right to free speech.
