Aneurin's hypnotic endorsements

You should have received your ballots by now. Grab your ballot and your favorite beverage. You are now feeling sleepy, very sleepy, and you must vote for the following:

Congress: Cheryl Crist - even though Baird wins the top two, that doesn't mean that you don't get a chance to make your displeasure known.

Governor: Chris Gregoire - she's done a good job the past four years, and it's going to take a steady hand over the next four in these economic times. Rossi? If you like your candidates in the form of a subsidiary of the BIAW, go for it.

Secretary of State: Sam Reed is just not going to lose in the general, but a vote for Jason Osgood, who's done extensive work on voter integrity issues, will bring that issue to the fore.

State Treasurer: Jim McIntire - his long time experience as House Finance Committee chair will come in handy as state treasurer.

Commissioner of Public Lands: Peter Goldmark - this one is a no-brainer, especially in light of Sutherland's treatment of the ladies. Regardless of Sutherland's behavior, Goldmark is actually the guy you get to feel good about voting for. A lifelong rancher hailing from Okanogan county, Goldmark has the unique background to restore balance to the way public lands are managed.

State Insurance Commissioner: I'm actually thinking of writing a name in, especially after my experiences in obtaining health insurance as a second-class Clark County resident. I just don't see what Kreidler has done in his tenure, other than make it incredibly difficult for Clark County residents to obtain health insurance. We have got to get away from health insurance options ending at the state line, especially in a metropolitan region. Sadly, I don't think Kreidler has any understanding of non-Puget Sound related issues.

County Commissioner, Dist 1: Pam Brokaw - the other vote you get to feel good about. It's time to consolidate the level of services provided as growth in the county has clearly slowed down. It's also time to stop wasting taxpayer money on appealing land use hearings board decisions.

Election of Precinct Committee Officer: It's time to unleash Aneurin's Operation Chaos, where everyone votes for the Ron Paul supporter. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have a list of Ron Paul supporters running for PCO. I'd really appreciate a more knowledgeable reader to leave me a comment so as to best guide my decision.

Now at the count of 5, I'll snap my fingers, and you can now return to your Rush Limbaugh show, already in progress.

on behalf of the newbies in town, the lazy among us, and the easily hypnotized, thank you.

Amen, Aneurin.
What Auntie said.
My old, lazy tactic of vote for the Democrat when in doubt no longer holds true.
